Why should I join HOSA?

HOSA offers many benefits such as improving leadership skills, time management, and studying habits. HOSA is a medical oriented club which provides insight into the medical industry and offers opportunities for personal development. HOSA offers competitions and conferences where students are able to gauge their own knowledge, compete against, and meet other students with similar interests and passions. 

How do I register for HOSA?

Registration occurs through the HOSA Canada website. Please follow the videos and guides provided. Once registration is completed, HOSA Canada will email an invitation to a Google Classroom within 7 business days. This Google Classroom will provide specific guidelines to the competitive event that students registered for and study resources.

How will HOSA help me achieve a career in medicine?

HOSA provides students with opportunities to learn about specific healthcare careers. This enables those who are passionate about health sciences to develop their skills, obtain insights into specific specialties, and gain an edge in the highly competitive field.

Will HOSA benefit my university applications?

HOSA gives students the opportunity to gain recognition for their achievements and success at a national and international level. However, this cannot guarantee that students' involvement in HOSA will surely benefit their university applications.

When are the weekly meetings?

Our meetings take place every Friday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Exceptions may occur depending on holidays, exams, and other circumstances.

Do you have to compete?

No, competing is not a requirement, and you can choose not to do so. Everyone is welcome to attend weekly meetings and learn about cluster materials that interest you!
